"THE EXREME TOUR 07" The extreme tour was a great success. We left the Hotel at 8:30 A.M. with our caravan of Cougars & other "Dependable" vehicles. We arrived in Lyons Colorado at 10 A.M. for a short breather and headed on up to Estes Park and on to "ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK". We stopped at a very nice picnic area and a box lunched was served by the CCC members. We consumed 78 lunches. We then traveled over the highest continuous road in the U.S to the top of Trail Ridge road. The summit was 12,300'. The air was thin but people were having a wonderful time. he scenery is absolutley gorgeous! We made it back to the hotel around 6 P.M. A car wash area was set up for the members who wanted to wash thier Cougars before the pool party. Saturday was the SHOW & the BANQUET was Saturday night. We finished it all up on Sunday with the "COLORFUL COLORADO TOUR" |
